CRISLAN GUIDE · WINDOWS
Manage multiple Windows PCs from CrisLan Viewer
CrisLan Viewer lets you organise computers into groups and open multiple connection windows. View existing Windows sessions without automatically taking control of every PC.
Organise the list before connecting
Use recognisable names such as Office PC, Reception or Workshop. Group Hosts by location or activity. Pair each Host separately using its address and locally generated code.
For Hosts accessed through NetBird, save the NetBird address in the appropriate entry. Distinguish local and external-access entries for the same PC.
Simultaneous connections and performance
The CrisLan 1.0.0 offer describes access to up to 25 simultaneous Hosts from one Viewer. This is not a frame-rate guarantee for all open sessions.
Each stream uses resources on the Host, the network and the Viewer PC. For smoother viewing, a Host desktop of up to Full HD, 1920 × 1080, is recommended. Sending Full HD video from a 4K desktop does not necessarily remove capture and resizing costs.
Start with one connection, then add the others gradually. Compare performance with moving content; a static screen is not an equivalent workload to a video.
How many licences do you need?
Viewer is free. Each commercially activated Host PC needs a Host licence. The website offers packages for 1, 5, 10 and 25 PCs; an additional Host licence can be purchased separately.
Licence quantity and simultaneous-session performance are different matters. Refer to the product page for current prices and terms.
Keep access under your control
Connections begin in view-only mode. Taking control is explicit. Pair only authorised Viewers and revoke access in Host when it is no longer needed.
Do not publish address lists, temporary codes or licence keys. Start a support request with the error message and a description of the situation.
